Within the past few days I've seen J get from a position lying on the floor to sitting up. Then today he was sitting on the rug in the bathroom and he used the side of the tub to pull himself up to a standing position. It is wild to see him developing so quickly before my eyes! He is also cruising around the ottoman and it is close enough to the couch that he goes back and forth between the two. I managed to keep him away from the dogs' water bowl today but he grabbed the tray on the ottoman which had a glass of milk in it (my bad) and it tipped over.
Between him and Bug I spend an increasing portion of my day rectifying one newly made mess after another. It is like bailing a leaking boat with a teaspoon, which is a little frustrating considering that my daily task list already has more on it than I can accomplish. But whenever I start to feel that way I think about life with them and messes vs. life without them and it instantly arrests the negative thoughts. I am incredibly blessed to have two amazing, healthy, bright, happy kids. Thank you Lord for them and the privilege I have to be home raising them!
