Having his bottom central incisors and top lateral incisors (and yes I did have to cheat and google the names), J is now cutting his top central incisors. With a bit of an overbite he was looking a little like a vampire so hopefully those days will soon be behind him. He hasn't had too much trouble with teething so far.
He is very vocal. A lot of adorable babbling, but also a lot of screaming. I accept most of the blame for the screaming. I do not multi-task well so as I'm focused on whatever task is at hand (e.g. fixing dinner) I catch myself mindlessly giving in to what he wants to make the pain stop. Sigh. I'll add that to the list of things I need to work on...
J and Bug are starting to keep each other occupied more. Not playing together in the traditional sense, but a couple of times a day I'll hear them giggling as they interact. To Bug J is another, more interesting, baby doll. I catch glimpses of her crossing the hall carrying him with his feet barely off the ground. Up to this point he has been surprising cooperative, but he is starting to voice objections.
Yesterday was pajama day (Bug's idea inspired by a Fancy Nancy book), but that ended in the afternoon when she picked up J from a crouching position and fell over backwards with her head landing in the dogs' water bowl and soaking her gown. There were no injuries and we got a good laugh out of it.
